Love you boys!  Including LouLou, of course!  <3

Here my LouLou boy, enjoying his sunbathing session!

Not only he refused to read the book (Amy Tan's Joy Luck Club),
he even barred the sofa from everyone else!

Mommy, I think I will read the paper after I'm done chewing this.

Escaping the two lazy boys & taking a walk to a temple..

P.S.  I can't believe we are almost at the end of Year 2011!  On a different note, I have loads of photos (of the boys) which I have yet to post.  Actually, I am trying to distract myself from being mad at an idiot who parks his/her car in front of my house.  But then again, I am not going out so...  yeah, just leave it.  Still, I don't understand why some people would do thing that is convenient for them without even thinking about others.  Something wrong with the way dia punya moyang ajar dia.  Mimang kurang ajar ba orang < tut >!!!

How old are you?

Shorty is a 4 years old dog (in human years: a 29 years old lengchai).

LouLou is a 3 years old cat (in human years: a 29 years old lengchai, too!!!).

Sprinkled! is 4.25 years old (dog years) or 3.3 years old (cat years).

Sprinkled! is a young mommy!

;)

You do the math!

The backstreet girl

[Photo] The backstreet girl

As crazy as it sounds, I spent my off day prying for that girl.  Yesterday, I saw her eating the food I left for her at the back but forgot to take camera with me.  I have never noticed her in the neighborhood before since she barely ventures into the front lane anyway.  Shorty & Xiao Mei’s dogs will bark like mad dogs, which will scare her away.  She is very skinny that her bones are sticking out, poor girl!

She distrusts me that she would not come near to the food when I am standing nearby.  I had to hide behind a slightly ajar door to shoot her.  I have not decided what I should call her...  Amanda?  Cher?  Hazel?  Jade?  Shoba?  I think I like Shoba  (-:

Ubat batuk cap ibu & anak

Shorty was coughing in the middle of the night.
At first I thought "Ahh..  This boy might just want me to kick him out of the room."
Granted his "wish" but the coughing continued.
Lunch time - still coughing; and I started to get worry.
I took this gross picture for the vet's reference.
I'm inexperienced mommy >.<

Rebellious & refused to get out from under the bed!

He was too occupied with the view - I had no idea what caught his attention!

Diagnosed as having upper respiratory infection.
It can spread to the lower respiratory system - scary!
*sigh*  RM90 poorer!
(2 jabs, 1 antibiotic & 1 for the cough)

I want to play, I don't want to eat the medicine!
(I had to boil chicken bones & mix the medicine into the slurpee soup!)

Shorty!  Shorty!

Asking me for a hug, the poor boy!

Picture perfect Thursday!

The Patrol Dog - off duty & playing in the rain!

Ahh!!!  I feel so much better exhausting you & myself by running around the garden!

The Rebel: I don't want to go to bed yet!  Let's play again!

Heavily sedated after being hypnotized (not really!)

The Sleeping Beast

Are the bedroom's door open now?

Hmm...  Early sleeper gets the nicest soft, warm spot!

Shorty have a lot of energy in him that he needs longer time to calm down and  sleep   rest.  LouLou, on the other hand, could just fall asleep within a few minutes after settling down in his favorite cozy spot on my bed.  Ooohhh yeah, he is a mean cat who likes to sleep right there in the middle, leaving me little space on either sides!

Good night!

Sprinkled! vs. Shorty

Thank you, Shorty.

The floor was squeeky clean after one sweeping & three mopping.

No way I could verify that until this boy from the garden right into the room.

Perfect timing.

First, you check the washroom.

Tick.

No mold.

The rubbish bin is empty.

< Panting >
Gosh!  I wish I don't have to running up the staircase, he said.

Then he licked the wet floor.

Next, now that he already wet his paws, he is ready to audit my cleaning process.

< Doing a catwalk >
Nice work!  I love it!  I'll call LouLou so we can (rock n) roll on the floor!

Thank you, my boys!

I am here, July

Newsweek, yeah, I picked it just because of Diana & Kate.  Coffee.  Another coffee.  Less sweeter than the first mug.  Aww..  This serious read is draining me.  3rd coffee.  Ooh, let see if I can win anything from Cleo.  Gonna stop flipping.  Those lipsticks are so yummy, do you think I need a new lipcolor?!  I do, I do!!!  4th coffee.  Really, stop flipping!  5th coffee.  Empress Orchid.  What!?  Smell the . . . what?!  Whoa!

Shorty:  "It's alright if you don't want to bring me outside today.  I just love chasing you & LouLou in the house as much as running in the garden.  But can we go outside tomorrow?  I want to see the boy at the house over that bridge."

LouLou: "I have nothing nice to say.  Except that I hate roaming outside when you were home late.  Ooh, why were you late last night?  Why can't you leave the door open so I can go in & out whenever I like?  Alright.  I need my "me time" now.  Ta."

Dog owner cries foul over cruel killing

By NELSON BENJAMIN
nelson@thestar.com.my

JOHOR BARU: A landscape supervisor is upset and disappointed with the Central Johor Baru Municipal Council workers they shot his dog in the street and when the dog ran back into his house compound, the workers entered the compound, looped the injured animal and dragged it onto the road.

The MBJBT workers then shot the dog a second time and killed it.

Taman Johor Jaya resident Tan Sek Khang, 51, said when the MBJBT workers shot the dog a second time, they did it in front of his protesting wife and son.

Tan said his mongrel, named Black, was trailing his wife and son who were walking to school on May 5.
“There was a gunshot and the dog which was trailing them started bleeding and limping,” he said of the 11am incident.

His wife Cheng Siew Kiong, 46, said she tried to explain to the workers that the dog belonged to them. “But they took it. They told us to wash the compound as it would be difficult if the blood dried.”
Tan admitted he made a mistake in not taking out a dog licence.

“But how can you shoot the animal and then enter my house to get the injured animal without our permission?” he said.

MBJBT president Md Fuzi Ahmad Shahimi said he would investigate the matter.

“MBJBT only has one shooting team to handle complaints about wild dogs. We get complaints on a daily basis,” he said, adding that he was not aware of Tan's case.

Canine Welfare Project Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) legal affairs and advocacy coordinator Shalinee Fernandez said the council should be brought to book for what it had done.

“If Tan had violated any local council by-laws, he should have been compounded instead of having council workers shoot the animal in front of his child.”

I doubt the president will investigate it!!!  Don't they (MBJBT) have an SOP???  These MBJBT workers are clearly ILLITERATE (otherwise they would read and understand the SOP), the most UNEDUCATED people (they must be thinking: dog = dirty; hence, must be eliminated.)

FCUK YOU!!!

SOME DAY I HOPE ANOTHER COLD-BLOODED SPECIES LIKE YOU COME & KILL YOUR LOVED ONES (NOTE: PLURAL; NOT SINGULAR!!!) RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES!!!

FCUK YOU!!!

Misunderstood

That poor mixed breed German Shepherd had to be put to sleep by the owner!  I do not think she have a feeling for the dog when she said "That was a hard lesson for the kids."  I bet it was a very hard, harsh lesson for the dog.  Unjustified.  Just because it bite you once, it has to be punished i.e. put to sleep.

And she continued unashamedly to rectify:
And I want a purebred. I want to know what I'm getting into before I get into it.
Ppppfffttt!!!

When I took Shorty and LouLou home, there is no way for me to know what breed they are.  What kind of temperament they got.  No way of knowing what I am getting into.  NO WAY!!!

O M G !

These kind of people (put a dog to sleep just because of one, single bite!!!) just want an easy way out.  I never own a purebred pet so I have no idea how perfect are their behavior (won't bite babies/kids/adult, won't 'eat' your shoes/the chairs, won't scratch your most expensive lingerie).

Shorty had bitten LouLou once that it left the poor kitty with what I call a drill hole on his forehead.  That was one serious injury he had caused but no way I would put him to sleep or send him away!!!  I think he learned not to bite LouLou too hard when they are playing.  No more 'drilling'.  Licking is okie.  Hide and seek is okie.  Scratching and jumping on each other is okie as long as your target is not me!  :D

Animal learn.  We learn.

<  s i g h  >

Penelope Trunk learn too.  And put the poor thing to sleep!

T.G.I.F., yet, again!

Honestly speaking, the only time that I clean my room (i.e. change the bedding, sweep & double-mop the floor) is on Fridays.  Because I like to start my weekends doing nothing.  Because I like to wash away everything related to the heavy-duty, loaded working days.  It is like a ritual for me.  Psychologically comforting, I say.

It is also the longest time I would bar the boys from entering my room because it want it to be squeaky clean, fur-less, no funny-funny paw prints, doormat in the right position (LouLou likes to play with it, that sillymolly kitty!), no messing with the fresh bedsheet (again, LouLou always like to rasmi the newly changed bedsheet just to prove his kiasu-ness!), no Shorty scratching himself against the wall (Shorty, Mommy is proud of your artwork at the car porch's wall, but not in our room =.=).

r.i.n.a. asked what my plan for tomorrow.  Nothing.  Ooh!  Maybe I want to take my car for vacuum cleaning.  I had said this for the umpteenth times.  Either I was too lazy to make it; or the weather was not right; or I used that budget allocation to buy beauty stuff!  Hah!

The boys are so quiet downstairs.  Did they merajuk again?  (They always go sulking if I did not let them in.)  I better check them now.

Have a nice weekend!

F l u f f y

I went back to the house despite knowing that I can only spend a maximum of 20 minutes with the boys within the one-hour lunch break.

20 minutes driving home
20 minutes talk to the  F l u f f y  shrinks
20 minutes drive back to office

Lately nothing sparks an interest to me at work.  I tried.  I looked.  I observed.  I stopped.

Nothing!

That is worrisome.  I am so scared of getting bored with my job!

And I find it difficult to talk to the air-headed bunch.

So I drove home.

To my  F l u f f y  shrinks.

I left LouLou theCat outdoor with Shorty theDog when I left in the morning, he must have been glad that I was back during the lunchtime to let him in.

Shorty as the usual crazy self, half expecting me to take him for a stroll (seriously, under the scorching sun?!), and half wanting me to rub his belly.

F l u f f y  Shorty got belly-rubbing, while I was waiting for the water to boil.

F l u f f y  LouLou meowed me from the kitchen, asking if he can have a canned fish instead of the biscuit.

Now I got confused - who's the shrink?  Because it looks like I am the one responding to their needs; like how a psychiatrist responds to / analyzes a patient.

Nonetheless, in between feeding LouLou, playing with Shorty and having a hot drink (as my lunch!), I found my sanity.  At least I stopped thinking, worrying, analyzing about work.

My F l u f f y  boys!

Too bad it was raining when I got home in the second-half time.  Otherwise I will take Shorty strolling around the taman.

Full tank of happiness

Last Friday was a frightening one because LouLou theCat was not feeling very well.  I had to literally kick him off the bed which is so not him!  Because he is the one who literally kick me of my own bed everyday, rain or shine.  When he fell of the bed, I funnily thought he was still in dreamy, sleepy mode.  But not when I saw him groggily staggering on the stair, struggling to keep his balance.  He and Shorty always racing down to the food bowl and the main door, respectively.

I thought, could it be that I was overdosing him?  I checked his medicine labels over and over again.  Half a pill a day, after meal.  Cream, twice a day.  I felt so guilty to leave him at such unwell state!

The next day I rushed him to the vet, explaining to him in details of LouLou's progress (or deteriorating state of health, to be exact!).  I said in a desperate tone, "He went for a walk with me and Shorty everyday except on Friday.  He can't even barely jumped off the bed properly!  But he is eating well which I think is funny.  I mean, a sick cat normally won't have an appetite, right?"

So the vet checked the list of medicines Lou was having recently, took the box of the medicine and patiently read to the nervous catmommy "The side effects are drowsiness, diarrhea, vomiting, ..."  I cannot remember the rest but drowsiness was what apparently affecting my poor boy.

"I don't like what it does to your cat, so stop giving him that pill altogether.  He might be experiencing adverse drug reaction."  Thank god, some explanation there.  So no pills for LouLou.  I stop the cream too, just to make sure he is in a pink of health again before we start again.

I am watching him bullying Shorty while writing this.  Looks like LouLou is back on action again!  Ooh!  He is looking at me annoyingly, perhaps because he cannot find a spot on the bed because I have this laptop, some paper works (which I am supposed to review!!!), the bedtime snack (book) all over the bed.

Alright, I want to play with the boys now.

Goodnight!

I'm coming home

It is almost time!  This song keeps playing in my head.
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the world I'm coming home
I'm going to reheat Shorty's food - I prepared a large portion last night and given him half this morning.  Forgotten to add carrot into his food, I am sorry, boy!  Mommywoof promise tomorrow's meal will have lots of green leaves and carrot.  Ooh, I am still considering whether to give raw food for him.

LouLou needs his bath.  Whoaaa!!!  I can almost hear him meowing at me from home "I thought that you've searched high and low on the internet about bathing your feline buddy and discovered that, I, the purrfect kitty, do not need to be bathed afterall.  Because - I hope you will learn after taking care of me for 3, 4 years - I know how to clean myself."  Erk...  Mommymeow is speechless here but still insists to get him human-like shower.  I love you, Lou!

Shampoo girl

I was a shampoo girl yesterday.  It was bright and sunny and I thought What a lovely day!  Okie, boys!  We'll wash the car & clean the porch first.  Then, we'll shower together!  Shorty is always cool with me taking his photos.  However, it is more difficult to shoot LouLou after his shower as he grunts, hating me for making him wet and cold.  That stupid smelly kitty!  Anyway, the freshly showered boy sneaked out from the house this morning while I was still in the bed.  Must be one of the boys who was not paying attention to this short-legged evil!  Luckily the neighbor's dogs made an alert to their human friend.  The joy of being out in the street was cut short for Shorty as he being escorted into the house.

The end.

Cheers!  It is Wednesday!!!
