I went back to the house despite knowing that I can only spend a maximum of 20 minutes with the boys within the one-hour lunch break.
20 minutes driving home
20 minutes talk to the F l u f f y shrinks
20 minutes drive back to office
Lately nothing sparks an interest to me at work. I tried. I looked. I observed. I stopped.
Nothing!
That is worrisome. I am so scared of getting bored with my job!
And I find it difficult to talk to the air-headed bunch.
So I drove home.
To my F l u f f y shrinks.
I left LouLou theCat outdoor with Shorty theDog when I left in the morning, he must have been glad that I was back during the lunchtime to let him in.
Shorty as the usual crazy self, half expecting me to take him for a stroll (seriously, under the scorching sun?!), and half wanting me to rub his belly.
F l u f f y Shorty got belly-rubbing, while I was waiting for the water to boil.
F l u f f y LouLou meowed me from the kitchen, asking if he can have a canned fish instead of the biscuit.
Now I got confused - who's the shrink? Because it looks like I am the one responding to their needs; like how a psychiatrist responds to / analyzes a patient.
Nonetheless, in between feeding LouLou, playing with Shorty and having a hot drink (as my lunch!), I found my sanity. At least I stopped thinking, worrying, analyzing about work.
My F l u f f y boys!
Too bad it was raining when I got home in the second-half time. Otherwise I will take Shorty strolling around the taman.
We are moving ;)
Please join me, Shorty & LouLou at our new 'home':

Till death do us apart
Lady Antz wrote about death in her entry today.
That reminds me that how I want my dead body to be disposed. I want to be cremated when I die. And I found these unconventional cute urns; that is much less scary than the typical vase-shaped urns, yikes!!!
Ooh!!! And see what else I got? Pet urns. Maybe one for Dear Shorty and one for Dear LouLou. But I don't really fancy those. Shorty is such a hyper-energetic boy, a bone-shaped urn is more appropriate to remind me how excellent he is in the running games. As for a more emo LouLou... I cannot think of anything except the image of him being licked by Shorty. Hmm... An urn with the photo of Shorty & him? Meowishiously purrfecto!

On a serious note, should I book a spot at Nirvana now?

Clean before it goes away
| Image from the superb weheartit! |
The floor feels uncomfortably carpet-ish; mostly because of the boys are so generous to fill the naked floor with their furs.
The makeup table is full of yesterdays' newspapers instead of makeups. And cookies. And last night's coffee mug.
I must clear and get rid of all junkies before it strike 00:00 hours on January 1st, 2011!!! You hold on there, girl!!!

Away from home
Suddenly this Saturday turns out be quite an eventful day. Except that I cannot be in all the places.

Adopt a pet
A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, big or small, young or old. He doesn't care if you're not smart, not popular, not a good joke-teller, not the best athlete, nor the best-looking person. To your dog, you are the greatest, the smartest, and the nicest human being who was ever born. You are his friend and protector.

If you are looking for a pet now, why not adopt instead of buying one? Some adoption might be free of charges, while some will charge at a minimum rate (not for making a profit) for spaying/neutering and de-worming the animals. My two boys were neither bought from the petshops nor were adopted from an animal shelter. I took them straight from the street. Now I am not saying that you should go rescue all the animals out there – because you cannot guess whether they will attack/injure you or not. I guess I was just purely lucky to get a mild-tempered Shorty who did not fight back when I put him in the car.
Shorty theDog and LouLou theCat were stray animals – I think I did mentioned about this somewhere. LouLou was rescued when he was still quite young, maybe just a few months old at that time. He was very dirty when I took him home – his white furs were yellowish partly because he did not know how to clean it. And because of that too, he smell of kittypoopoo and kittypeepee. Now, he has been with me for 2 wonderful years. Despite being a grown up kitty now, he still like to get Shorty to lick him. The only time I see him licking himself intensively is after I give him a bath. I somehow think that me (human) and Shorty (dog) kind of mis-educated him (cat).
Shorty was a serious case for me when I saved him from the street. He was almost fur-less; and the vet told me that it would took few months for him to recover from the skin infection. So there I was, religiously feeding him the dog vitamins and supplements and cleaning him with medicated shampoo. I am so thankful that today, he is one yellow-haired dog that I love to hug and squeeze! He still has a bad habit of hiding food i.e. in the soil, between the pillows, etc, which I guess, something he had habitually done when he was a stray dog trying to keep safe the food from other dogs. Nonetheless, he is adorable and always loves by the neighbors.
If you plan to adopting one, get on down to these websites. I hope you will find your furry friends there!

Calling Shorty, calling me
My neighbor was looking for me yesterday but since she don't know my name, she called for Shorty instead! :D
We were in the house at the time so this crazy short-legged boy began to cry as he wanted to see the lady. Naturally, I have to open the door to let him out. And being a polite neighbor, I came out from the house as well to greet not just one, but two other lovely ladies and a teh-C colored pug (who was busy pee-fighting with Shorty while we girls were having a conversation).
There were many accounts where the neighbors called me by using Shorty's name. And most all of them are dog owners. Like them, I don't know their names too, but funnily enough, I know their pets names!
By the way, I gave my name card to the neighbor. I told her "just in case for emergency". LOL! Now she knows my name. {wink}

Looking for white curtains to replace the current one as the owner left me with a set of colorless and boring curtains. It is washed-yellow with flowery patterns on it. Not the feminine flowery type but more of chirpy, sunny, teeny flowery one.
If you think I get excited to see chirpy, sunny, teeny curtains - aha! I don't, I don't, I don't!
I want a white, heavy, plain one. Textured fabric might be a nice choice since I don't like any obvious details on it. Less is more.
So want to head down to curtain shops now!
