[Photo] October

Love you boys!  Including LouLou, of course!  <3

Here my LouLou boy, enjoying his sunbathing session!

Not only he refused to read the book (Amy Tan's Joy Luck Club),
he even barred the sofa from everyone else!

Mommy, I think I will read the paper after I'm done chewing this.

Escaping the two lazy boys & taking a walk to a temple..

P.S.  I can't believe we are almost at the end of Year 2011!  On a different note, I have loads of photos (of the boys) which I have yet to post.  Actually, I am trying to distract myself from being mad at an idiot who parks his/her car in front of my house.  But then again, I am not going out so...  yeah, just leave it.  Still, I don't understand why some people would do thing that is convenient for them without even thinking about others.  Something wrong with the way dia punya moyang ajar dia.  Mimang kurang ajar ba orang < tut >!!!

I fell into the drain today.  After work.  I was plucking the hibiscus for my hair spa.  I slipped and ended up in the waist-depth, narrow, dry drain.

AND I FEEL SO AWFULLY PAINFUL!

I cannot remember the very last time I accidentally injured myself (not that I have the inclination towards self-mutilation!).

And it was hell trying to undress because my skinny jeans brushed against the bruises.  SO PAINFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was groaning like an injured dog (at least Shorty groans when he's in pain).

And I was thinking about a friend whom recently gave birth.  How painful is childbirth?  This is just a very minor thing compare to...  having one's vagina open up (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

No.

I don't want to talk about childbirth.

I am supposed to write about something to make me forget about the pain.

It is Friday.

Bloody Friday.

Good night!

Good Tuesday

LouLou:  "I'm sunbathing and I'm naked.  Sexy, not?"

I am counting my blessing (despite being sucked into the big black hole this morning - what a "nice" way to start someone's day!).

I survived the day.  I refuse to bow down to that thing.  "that thing" is not a human.  No human would show disrespect to the other human.  Ooh!  And for claiming "I'm from Kehel."  Patut laa...  Kuala Lumpur.  Everything about that thing is berlumpur (muddy)!  I rename that thing "Berek Be'che".  :-p  And I set his ringtone as "a bark dog".  Hahaha!  Mulau ni!  Shiok sendiri pula ba!

I went to Starbucks after work to test the environment since I am having a video call with someone VVIP tomorrow night!  Grrr!!!  If only the broadband connection at home is good; then I don't have to drive all the way down.  But just for this one special, important occasion.

Anyway, I wish I could find my favorite sunspot soon!  You see, LouLou have found his favorite spot!  Cheers to everyone who is looking or have found their favorite spot!

Dear Boss

I was reading 10 Signs Your Boss Really Cares About You.

And as if that is not good enough to verify the advantages of having the current boss, I tried this "Good Boss, Bad Boss" quiz.

The verdict?!
Your boss suffers from this many chronic flaws: 4 of 20
You have a damn good boss. You better treat him or her well!
Ooh yeah...

Except...

I cannot stand Mr. XYZ, Mr. ABC, Ms. OPQ, Ms. RST and...  alot more!!!

Dog owner cries foul over cruel killing

By NELSON BENJAMIN
nelson@thestar.com.my

JOHOR BARU: A landscape supervisor is upset and disappointed with the Central Johor Baru Municipal Council workers they shot his dog in the street and when the dog ran back into his house compound, the workers entered the compound, looped the injured animal and dragged it onto the road.

The MBJBT workers then shot the dog a second time and killed it.

Taman Johor Jaya resident Tan Sek Khang, 51, said when the MBJBT workers shot the dog a second time, they did it in front of his protesting wife and son.

Tan said his mongrel, named Black, was trailing his wife and son who were walking to school on May 5.
“There was a gunshot and the dog which was trailing them started bleeding and limping,” he said of the 11am incident.

His wife Cheng Siew Kiong, 46, said she tried to explain to the workers that the dog belonged to them. “But they took it. They told us to wash the compound as it would be difficult if the blood dried.”
Tan admitted he made a mistake in not taking out a dog licence.

“But how can you shoot the animal and then enter my house to get the injured animal without our permission?” he said.

MBJBT president Md Fuzi Ahmad Shahimi said he would investigate the matter.

“MBJBT only has one shooting team to handle complaints about wild dogs. We get complaints on a daily basis,” he said, adding that he was not aware of Tan's case.

Canine Welfare Project Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) legal affairs and advocacy coordinator Shalinee Fernandez said the council should be brought to book for what it had done.

“If Tan had violated any local council by-laws, he should have been compounded instead of having council workers shoot the animal in front of his child.”

I doubt the president will investigate it!!!  Don't they (MBJBT) have an SOP???  These MBJBT workers are clearly ILLITERATE (otherwise they would read and understand the SOP), the most UNEDUCATED people (they must be thinking: dog = dirty; hence, must be eliminated.)

FCUK YOU!!!

SOME DAY I HOPE ANOTHER COLD-BLOODED SPECIES LIKE YOU COME & KILL YOUR LOVED ONES (NOTE: PLURAL; NOT SINGULAR!!!) RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES!!!

FCUK YOU!!!

Ooopsie! I eat from the dog's bowl

I was seething when I saw the dirty dishes in the sink since Monday.  Do you want to know what I did last night?

< syiok sendiri >

I stacked it with Shorty’s dirty plate.

I hide the other clean cutlery.

< / syiok sendiri >

Ooh!  More interesting discussion about not-so-clean housemates at Passive-Aggressive Notes.  One of the commentator said:

"Never be the cleanest person in your house.
You're always going to be pissed off about something."

So true!!!

Post Class

I was encouraging my class to speak in English.  And we had fun talking about Justin Bieber (thank god none of us are fan of him), Bruno Mars (aww!!! we love him alot!), and hardcore music in general.  I asked the boy what is it like (hardcore) then he jokingly said "nanti pecah kalau I buat (sing)" to which all of us laughed.  Then I told them I only listen to the pop songs played over the air, and they eagerly asked me to check YouTube for such underground stuff.  It was very informal but well, I don't want them to make a boring speech.  {yawn}

And I forgot that I am actually sick because I was too engrossed with our fun conversation!  Only after we goodbyed each other that I feel...  ooh...  my throat...  my nose... gotta rush home now and relax.

Ooh yeah!  By the time I got home, the lights and the fan in the living room as well as the kitchen were all lighted.  I was pissed off because no one was in the areas.  So rich and want to waste the energy huh?!

Oh dear rich boy, go get your own place if you like to lit up every single light in the house when you are not using it.  But not when you are staying with me.

Good night!

Post-Airy Monday

You know, there is always something up in Mondays. For me, it is time to catch up with friends – after hiding out (or, hibernating) in the weekends.  And because Mondays are psychologically long (for me), I always lighten up my day by reading blogs and some of (my favorite) columnists’ articles.

It was a coincidence that I put “Airy Monday” as my entry title yesterday - because I felt somewhat calm, only to be equally terrified and humored when I read a fiery post by a certain blogger.  It took me by surprise that this blogger can actually produced such a… flaming posting.

On the other hand, if I own an online shop, I would not even thought of posting “kampung-hater…yes, me” just to rub any potential customers in the wrong way, deliberately.  I mean, one cannot be calling people “hi sayang-sayangku” (which might or might not includes the kampung citizen), but then admitting “i hate kampung people because they’re idiots.”  Ouch, ouch, ouch!!!  Now, please tell me that such statement will draw buyers from cities and kampungs alike.  If yes, wow! I want to use that publicity stunt too although I have not think of what I want to sell yet.

To humor myself, I asked the shop owner “(Kampung Lover:) Dear Kampung Hater, are these soaps handmade by the village people or the city dwellers?”

Hello to the city people!

Hello to the kampung people!

Hello to lovers & haters everywhere!

Special hello to another kampung girl.

Padan muka!

A very gory end for snatch thief

35 years old.  Not a blind or a disable person.  Kesian the snatch thief’s family member?  Maybe, because he could be someone’s son / husband / father.  But why would an able-bodied person choose to steal from others?  I could only curse these snatch thieves when they get away uncaught.  But when I read that they get killed, my oh my, I feel like as if I won a lifetime free, limitless supply of Starbucks!

Isn’t it frightening that one is not even safe at theirs own house compound nowadays?  Even with a companion, I always pay attention to my surrounding before I hop into or get out from my car.  I would never turn off my engine until my house gate is fully closed.  The reason is, I think (I think la hor…) I can crash into the intruder if they try to attack me.  I mean, I would be all panicky to turn on the car engine when I see them.  Or at least, I can hit my own wall and gate to get my neighbors’ attention.  Because I cannot open the window least they strangle me out from my car, right?  And, I don’t always go back at the same time everyday.  See, they might have checked your schedule before they launch an attack.  Creepy!!!  Needless to say, I am always highly suspicious of motorbikes passing in the housing area.

It is only Tuesday.  I want my Friday!

Ffffffffffffffffffffffffont!

Image taken from weheartit
Gah!!!

I hate it when I open my blog only to see the fonts are not displayed accordingly!  I like Homemade Apple but I recently realized that it won't display the full title when I open it in Chrome - in my case, only the word My appeared!  Sometimes the page/gadgets were also not displaying the selected fonts whenever I use IE.  I have no problem when using Firefox tho'.

It's Monday.  Anything as silly as this small technical stuff makes me crazy!  Hug me, please!!!

Grocery shopping

Bacon RM17.80
Chicken RM6.47
Eggs RM 3.80
Sweet corn RM2.69
Cheese in olive oil RM7.50
Carrot RM1.99
Broccoli RM1.42
Purple cabbage RM2.71
Baby butterhead RM2.55
Thai small red onion RM3.99
Total RM51.00

By the way, I was slightly mad when I saw Jusco is selling a toothpaste at RM13.49.  I bought the very same toothpaste from Giant at RM14.99!!!  I am not Giant's big fan but was sort of being dragged into the hypermarket.  I rather shops at Jusco at any time (it feels less wholesale-like market than Giant, Tesco & Carrefour) but I wonder why some said Jusco is more expensive than other stores.

And I do not cook the chicken and the carrot for myself; it is for Shorty.  I just mix grated carrot and a chunk of chicken into the rice and voila!  Dinner done, my boy.  (Shorty's lunch is always provided by his kai ma, that lucky boy!)

Enough of rant.

P.S.  I really hate carrot as my food, but I can accept carrot juice.

Etiqa Takaful: Very Bad Service!!!

I will kick your a$$ & ball$!!! (image from weheartit)
Why is it very almost-mission-impossible to get my money back from car insurance, in my case now, it's Etika Takaful.  I can summarized this company as:
My experience with Etika Takaful:  "Inefficient, poor and slow response to customer's inquiries.  Definitely would not purchase anything from Etika Takaful, ever, again!!!"
Here's my case:
Dec 18, 2010 - Saturday
Renew road tax & car insurance at the post office in the morning.  I have to pay for 0% NCD (I am entitled for 25% NCD) because the counter said my previous insurance company has not updating my data, yet!  Yet!!!  Alright, not the post office fault.  Called the customer hotline around 12noon who said no record of me purchasing their car insurance in their (superbly slow, lousy) database, yet!  Asked me to send the policy certificate via email instead.

Dec 22, 2010 - Wednesday
Sent the 1st refund request.  I attached the required document too.

Dec 28, 2010 - Tuesday
I bet their customer service member(s) were busy holidaying - Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day...  Took almost one week just to tell me they are gathering data & will come back to me soon.  Now the word "soon" is very subjective as I (as a customer) would define it soon as in one week time.  They, the lazy fat a$$holes in Etika Takaful might interpret it as...  whenever I like!  Fcuk you!!!

Jan 4, 2011 - Tuesday
Sent my 2nd email.  No reply from them, yet!  Hello Etika Takaful, are you sleeping?

Jan 20, 2011 - Thursday
3rd email.  Very tulan liao!!!  Like, if you really need a month to process my request, please inform so in the first reply.  I just need to know your timeline for finishing this job, FCUK YOU!!!

I mean the money that I want them to refund maybe just mean a peanut to them.  Habis tu, da tau peanut buat apa nak simpan???  Bagi balik sama itu pelanggan laa, FCUK YOU!!!  If it's really just a peanut, return it to me, I am the rightful owner of the money, peanut or not peanut!!!

WWYD: When Mad Dog Is Answering The Phone Call?

From:  weheartit
Some receptionists are very poor on the phone etiquettes.  Like the lady who answered my call this morning.  She was quite polite nice when I inquired about the consultation fee.  However, to my surprise, she started to (sort of) yell like a mad dog when asked about the clinic’s operating hours.
Mad Dog:  Doctor (is in from) 9 to 1 only laa’aah…
Me:  Is it open every day?
Mad Dog:  Sunday (is a) public holiday laa’aah…
If I know the schedule, I would not ask Ms. Mad Dog in the first place.  But then again, even if I know the schedule, I might ask just to confirm.  What is wrong with that, Ms. Mad Dog?  Isn’t part of your job is to provide info to the potential customer?

At first I was glad that the fee is lower than the other clinics.  However, I immediately decide to delete it from my list.  Yes, because of the rude mad dog infected receptionist.  I don’t want my money goes to pay for the mad dog’s salary.  It might not be a big amount but no thanks.  I rather buy yummy food for my dogkid!

Anyway, Happy  Friday  Thursday to all!

Scam by Bonuslink

Fcuk off, you liar! Image from weheartit

I received few missed calls from this number:  03-78417400 but when I call it, no one is answering it.  Weird, suspiciously weird.  It immediately sent high alert to my antennas.  You can see the others were reporting about this number too, just increasing my alertness!  >>> here <<<

Yesterday I finally managed to speak to the caller, whom claimed she was calling from Bonuslink.  She was offering me some kind of wallet insurance.  This insurance is to protect against the card loss should it goes missing or stolen.  Alright, I have never heard about wallet insurance sort of thing from anyone - not even from those who I personally know owning credit cards!  My mind keep saying "You're so bull$h!t!!!"

Then she asked whether I have credit cards.  I said, no.  How about debit cards?  Do you have any?  Again, no.

She immediately replied me “Oh, never mind then” which is more to my pleasure.

You know what?  I do not believe all these calls from whatever banks claiming to offer me this and that.  Usually I would tell them that I’m driving/in a meeting and ask them to call me again, depending whether I am interested to know their scams.  I like to know how they would "lure" me so I can learn how to avoid such traps.

So you, yes, you – the liar, do not call me!

A religion, you say?!

I want to ask you these:
  1. What is the purpose of wearing nice outfits, attending a religious function regularly; when you can't even say a very simple "thank you" to someone who is not of the same religion as you?
  2. Do you think she/he does not deserve it just because you are so righteous?  And people like them are just dirty sinners?!
That's all.  It makes me sicker thinking that you have this I-am-holier-than-thou attitude.  CAPITAL SICK!!!

Do not do this at work

...  or anywhere else!

I normally put a mini bottle of lotion in the office so that I do not have to carry it in and out everyday.  Yesterday I forgot to bring my hand lotion (I brought home the almost empty bottle for refill), so I had to use my lipbalm for substitute.  Luckily enough, it is not sticky or oily.

Today, I forget the lipbalm (I only own one lipbalm which I use both at work and at home).  But I cannot use lotion as lip moisturiser.  Or can I?

Crap!

Duh! Douchebag!

A friend came across with a cocky person yesterday. No, they never meet in person. She was reading a blog by this person. What a beastly creature there! Ooh! I mean the writer; not the reader.

We felt offended by this person, greatly!

But I would not dwell too much about what been wrote there as I believe there must be a reason for someone to be that shallow.

Me and this friend rather chat about Gossip Girl or Dan Brown's The Last Symbol, am I right?  Hello, friend?

Anyway, how do you differentiate between a cocky person and someone who is purely confident?!

I can’t. But I am sure that such a cocky person deserves to be called a douchebag.  Confirm.  100%.

Oxford Dictionaries Online
Pronunciation: / ˈkɒki/
adjective (cockier, cockiest)
conceited or confident in a bold or cheeky way

Urban Dictionary
Cocky
A person who have an overly high opinion of themselves. Usually overly self-confident and/or overly self-assertive.

Douchebag
An individual who has an over-inflated sense of self worth, compounded by a low level of intelligence, behaving ridiculously in front of colleagues with no sense of how moronic he appears.
He usually has an inflated sense of self-importance and self-worth, and tends to think he's popular when in reality, very few people actually like him. The only people who do like him are his fellow douche bags.
He doesn't particularly care about other people, and he thinks that the world revolves around him. He also loves to put other people down to make himself feel more important.

Tickle or Tick Off (1)

TICK OFF!!!

I cannot stand people who are more “kan cheong” (edgy) about the labor than the mom-to-be herself.  Very fun huh! Come from one floor to another floor just to share with us: ”I tried to call her but all went into the voicemail.”  Go away from my cube, shoo!!!

Maxis' bad quality customer service!

I have a bad experience with Maxis today.

Firstly, the connection is inconsistent that I need to refresh the pages almost every minute! I checked my data usage but found out it is still within the quota (0.05 out of 3GB). So it should not be slowing down on me, right.

Secondly, the Indian guy at the call centre who answered my call. After I explained nicely to him about my problem, he asked for my account number. While I was searching for it, either 1) the network broke down, or 2) he purposely hung up on me. Whichever the reason that made my call interrupted, I think, the Indian guy have no interest in his job. If he is, he would have call me on my number and help me. Shame on you! I hope someday your boss will find out how unprofessional you are!

Finally, a girl who is not-so-helpful-but-not-as-lousy-as-the-Indian-guy assisted me. But that one was only went a bit smoother after I resorted to use subtle threatening. The thing was she kept saying that she could not hear me clearly. Before she says, “Please try to call back later” (I sensed that she was trying to say that because it was nearing to lunch hour and maybe she has got a lunch date!), I firmly told her, “It is OK if you are not interested in solving my problem. I will just wait until one-full year and proceed to terminate my account. Thank you.” I wondered why she could hear me clearly when I warned that I am done with using their service BUT not when I was telling her my problem! I just hope that the conversation was recorded and her boss will listen to it someday! Just few seconds after I hung up, the girl called me. So this time everything was explained nicely to me BUT it still did not solve the issue permanently! I was asked to monitor how frequent the internet get disconnected, bla, bla, bla…

Since they cannot solve it immediately and permanently, I have decided that I would change to others (DiGi, Celcom, P1 Wimax et cetera) once the contract end. Yeah, I am stupid because despite of their lousy internet connection and even lousier customer service, I am still stuck to them. The reason is, I do not want to pay the penalty.

Engerish

I get irritated when some people proudly bragged that they work in a so-called multinational company yet sending me official documents with typo errors! I suggest you to check whether people like us who work in a local company use bad English! I still can accept it if they use bad grammar in the email. However, please do not send unchecked files to your dear customers! I am not saying I have a perfect English (written & oral), but I try not to let the obvious one, i.e. spelling mistake, get caught by my boss.

Read about an English teacher <here>
